During his stay in New York in fall 2007, Tomáš Hobzek took part in recording "Overseason" together with Ondřej Pivec, Jake Langley and Joel Frahm. "Overseason" had its debut on April 18, 2008 in the jazz club "U Staré Paní". The record was published under the label Animal Music and its patron is a Czech famous actor Tomáš Hanák.

.. is an ambitious, inventive band established by drummer Tomáš Hobzek. Its roots are in April 2008, when the band performed for the first time at Prague's jazz club U Staré Paní. There was, aside from guitarist David Dorůžka, a visiting New York-based pianist Dan Tepfer, whom Tomáš met during his stay in New York.During a short time the band's members were settled: saxophonist Marcel Bárta (known especially through his performances with Vertigo Quintet), pianist Vítek Křišťan (student of jazz section at Music Academy of Katowice in Poland, and also a member of Jan Přibyl's Quintet), and doublebassist Tomáš Liška (performs for example with David Dorůžka Trio,

After winning the first prize in Getxo Jazz contest 2009 /Spain/, the band "Points" recorded their first cd, called simply "Points". Cd release party took place at prague jazz club Jazz Dock and the album godfather was great saxophone player and composer Marcel Bárta.

Czech label Animal Music just releases Tomáš Hobzek quartet debut cd, called "Stick It Out". Album was christened on wednesday June 2nd at prague jazz club "Jazz Dock" by leading czech doublebass player and director of jazz college in Prague mr. Jaromír Honzák. More info in CD section.

The quartet's music can be characterized as fresh, modern jazz, respecting its ideals from jazz history, such as Miles Davis or Wayne Shorter. The quartet is at the same time very communicative and open to modern trends of contemporary music.
